Background

Building company has sixteen sites accross the UK.

Each site is managed by a Site Engineer responsible for all aspects of the build.

Problem

Between 7.30 am and 10.30 am the Management would start the day by phoning each of the Site Engineers, in turn, for a status report.

Between 10.30 am and 2.30 pm the Management would decide the priorities and assign resources.

Between 2.30 pm and the end of the day the Management would call back each Site Engineer and agree priorities.

Issue

Management team felt constrained because the information they received was always subject to delay or incomplete.

Advantages brought by Intelligent Actions Digitalization

Intelligent Actions suggested that the they create an information document for the Site Engineer to complete, that steps them through all the information they need to report on to the central management team.

As soon as the document is complete and submitted to the cloud, the information would be available for the management to review.

As the situation changes during the day the site engineer would be able to update their report as frequently as necessary.

Having the information entered into the cloud means the company could automatically extract progress reports on demand.
